Can a Site be Hacked using the JM CGI code? Can't Post

Hi guys -
Some idiot hacker from Brazil defaced my site over the weekend,
by posting his own template file into the Job Manager
templates folder -
Is there any way you know of that this could have been done by
exploiting the CGI code in Job Manager?
thanks - Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for the post and I'm sorry to hear about your site.

Job Manager's admin.cgi code is all encrypted and actually shouldn't have any direct references to any details about the server.

If you have a backup of your Job Manager template files then fixing your site should be as simple as uploading your old template file and clicking the "Publish All" button in Job Manager. If you don't have a backup you may be able to contact your host and see if they can provide one for you.

You may also be able to contact your host to see if they are able to shed any light on when someone accessed your server and how.

I hope you're able to get your site running again and if you have any other questions feel free to let me know! Smile

Cheers,
