Altering templates yields no change Can't Post

Hello everyone,

My first post.

I think I got NM installed correctly and the CHMOD settings working the way they are supposed to. I am able to login to the admin panel and create stories. I am also able to view the page that lists all of the stories I have created.

However, when I try and modify the _index.html template, the changes don't appear. Interestingly enough, the meta name generator does relfect a change in the html source code, but everything else appears to be unaffected.

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks.

Re: [orangeoctane] Altering templates yields no change [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the post! Smile

One thing that you'll want to make sure of is that after you've uploaded your templates back into the /templates/ folder you log back into News Manager's admin program.

From there you'll want to click "Setup Options" and then the "Publish All" button. This should recreate all of your articles as well as your index page.

If you do this and the changes still aren't taking effect you may want to fill out a support request with your FTP details here:

https://www.interactivetools.com/support/email_support.cgi

This would allow me to get onto the server and have a closer look at this for you.

I hope this helps and if you have any other questions feel free to let me know! Smile

That worked! Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll be back for a question or two soon...
