Adding variables Can't Post

Hi,

I would like to add a variable to our news engine. We purchased News Manager to host on our company's home site, to highlight the news happing for the entire organization. In the formatting, we need more than just a news headline, but also a space to let the reader know which division it is coming from... so it would look something like this:

1/03/2007 - ACME Division - New product forecasts are on the way, says ACME Division Boss

(Summary)

The project requires that we clearly show which division each news item is coming from. How can I get this accomplished in News Manager?

*crickets chirping*

Would love an answer to this question. I can't figure out how I can add a simple variable to aid in customization of the layout.

Hi Taco John,

Thanks for the post!

News Manager doesn't have the ability to create new fields so having the division name appear dynamically would be a little tricky. That being said I do have two options that may work for you, the first would involve simple adding the division text to the title of the news item. :)

Or you could create a graphic image for each division, then upload the division specific image with each news post. Do these sound like options that may work for you Taco John?

Neither option sound desireable, when what I really need is just another variable to manipulate.
