Selecting a Single Image to Display Can't Post

I'm new to LM and still learning code. I'm attempting to customize the _publish_listing.html page so that a single, large version of one image could be displayed in the middle of the page and all other images would display down the left side as they do in the default template. When I look at the line of code calling for the images, it calls for all images, not any one specific. Is it possible to display this larger image by either by creating a custom field and uploading the image to it or having the image #1 always display in this area of the page and all subsequent images (#2-#10) displaying down the left side?

As a follow-on question, is it possible to upload more than ten images?

Thanks!

Ken

Re: [kwalker] Selecting a Single Image to Display [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Ken.

Thanks for posting!

What you’ll want to do here is have a look at this forum post:

http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=39850;search_string=image%20gallery;t=search_engine#39850

It’s a neat little example of how to change the way your images appear by default. My example there is exactly what you are looking for, but if you got it going first, I can show you how to tweak things the way you eventually want them.

How doest that sound? I look forward to hearing from you Smile.

Re: [ross] Selecting a Single Image to Display [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks, Ross. I like this functionality. I'll try to customize my _publish_listing.html page with this new code and if I have a technical difficulties I'll give you shout then. On a similar note, since you're checking the forums now and I'm not certain how you balance your time between the forums and email support requests, but I placed a request earlier in the day regarding my _publish_listing_index.html page. It seems after customizing it all subsequent listings after the first one are indented. Could you check out the code at http://66.242.136.111/listman/listings/index.html and offer recommendations on how to solve this?

Thanks, Ross!

Cheer!

Ken

Hi Ken!

We get all forum notifications emailed to our regular work queue, and they're answered more or less in the order that they're received.

However, I tried to get to the page you mentioned, and got a 404 error -- are you still having trouble with that page?

My pages are working, but I still have a few issues with searching and results. I used a bit of code I got from support to query just properties from a specific region and received an error. I also dumped in the form from your demo onto my page and it won't search for criteria. The page is http://www.manosteam.com/listman/listings/index.shtml.

Hi Ken.

I had a look at your site and the search form seems to be working again. I did a couple test searches with different criteria selected and the results seemed to change accordingly. I am thinking this means that you already resolved the issue. Of course, if I missed something here, let me know and I’ll have another look.

With the other problem you mentioned, what was the link you ended up using? I can’t actually see anywhere on your page to re-create the problem so I’ll need a few directions.

If you could just post up that link you are using, it should be enough to get me going. I look forward to hearing from you :).

Re: [ross] Selecting a Single Image to Display [In reply to] Can't Post

Below is the search string I used to search all properties in Conejo Valley using a custom field (lfield30) and then have them display in an order determined by a custom field (lfield18):

http://www.manosteam.com/listman/exec/search.cgi?search=1&lfield30_keyword=Conejo+Valley&sort_order=18,123,forward

Thanks for checking my post ...

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the post! Smile

I'm currently taking a look at this URL that you've provided and I'm not actually too sure of the error you were running into.

As far as I can tell this search query does seem to be working and there some results being displayed (rather than an error message).

If you can provide me with any other details about what seems to be happening with this URL, I'd be happy to have another look at this for you.

I look forward to hearing from you Ken! Smile
