Google Maps - iframe Dynamic Search input Can't Post
Hi,

First of all I want to say that the Google Map Interface ROCKS! Ross the tutorial was very straightforward and easy to implement. Literally within a few hours I had things up and running and my client LOVES the Maps and saved him money too.

I now have one little glitch that I can't seem to figure out a way to solve. When a user uses the Search Query form and randomly selects which listings they want to display, I want to use that search string to "drive" the "bubbles" that show up on the map that is embedded in the Search_Results page.

How do I pass the dynamic search string from the Search Query (user selected search arguments) into the iframe search query?

I have built a handful of specific search_templates where I control what type of listings are being passed into the template and the bubbles work great there. I just can't figure out to read the dynamic search string and use it.

Any insight on how I might accomplish this would be appreciated.

Hi Diana.

Thanks for posting!

I am glad you liked the tutorial Smile. The only thing is that I am not quite sure on how to get the iframe dynamically updated.

There should be some JavaScript that you could use to take the value from a drop down menu, build a new query string from that and then update to src of the iframe to that new string, but I am not a JavaScript guru so the coding is a little above my head.

Do happen to have anyone on hand that might be able to take that idea and get some coding going for you? Perhaps some one here in the community could jump in with some suggestions.
