Search Query Form Question Can't Post

I am setting up a website where there will be maybe 10 different countries and each country will have 10 different areas.

Is it possible to configure the search query form so that when someone selects say Spain from the country option box, then ONLY the areas from within Spain appear in the area option box. If someone selects Italy from the country option box then ONLY the areas within Italy appear in the area option box. People searching will not want to see 90 areas from outside the country they are looking at.

If this is possible how would I set this up ?

Re: [aerosurfer] Search Query Form Question [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi there,

I've seen a few sites do this before, but it's not actually a part of Listings Manager -- this would be done in the template (or external search form).

Try searching google for something like "conditional javascript dropdown menu" or some combination of those keywords. :) Listings Manager takes standard form input, so any basic script that does that will work just fine.

Thanks Donna

I used a combination of a short java script with iframes.
