Search.cgi Pagination Can't Post

Just ran Xenu on a ListingsManager site and found it was picking up multiple search results in the form of:
listman/exec/search.cgi?search=1&lfield2_keyword=mykeyword&pagenum=1&pagenum=1&pagenum=1&pagenum=1&pagenum=1&pagenum=1

Navigating to the page I found it was served in a valid fashion and seemed to be caused by the pagination arrows at the top, which caused the added pagenum each time they were clicked.

Of course a user is less likely to click them, but a search engine spider will, in a virtual sense, and get stuck in a never-ending loop.

The offending link appears to be:
<a href="$cgiurl$?$query$&pagenum=$npage$" title="Next Page">&gt;&gt;</a> when there is only a single page returned.

I have the search results as noindex and nofollow on this site, but others may prefer to have them indexed. Is there any way around this?

Re: [alpine] Search.cgi Pagination [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Steve,

I did some research on this for you and unfortunately there isn't a way to prevent this from happening. For future projects you may want to consider using CMS Builder, which can perform all of the functions as Listings Manager, and will not evidence this problem:
