NEXT and BACK for next photo (of 20) of a property Can't Post

PROBLEM : We have 20 photos per property (always, even if some are blank.gif)). We place all 20 photos on ONE page (see http://www.guyenne-immobilier.co.uk/listman/exec/search.cgi?view=1&template=_publish_listing_photos.html

We click on one of the 20 photos and go to a page like...
... http://www.guyenne-immobilier.co.uk/listman/listings/images/1_17.jpg
This is photo 17.

PROBLEM
We would like to skip direct to photo 18 (.../images/1_18.jpg) and, of course, skip back to 16 and so on.

Is this possible ?
I am thinking next = " read last 8 ch of URL, add 1...)

Regards
Nick

Something like this...
<FORM>
<INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE=" BACK " onClick="history.go(-1)">
<INPUT TYPE="button" VALUE="FORWARD" onCLick="history.go(1)">
</FORM>

Hi Nicolas.

Thanks for posting!

So once you've clicked to see the larger version of your image, you want to be able to cycle back and forth between them without having to close the window and open a new one. Right?

If that's the case, I think the best thing to do would be setup LightBox. It's a neat little script that will let you do exactly that.

It's a free script that you can use on any site. I actually use a slight variation of it which you can see an example of here:

http://www.dolem.com/lytebox/demo.php

Look in the middle of the page there for "Grouped Images:" and click on one. It sort of fades out the background and pops your large image into a nicely fitted window.

Let me know if this would work for you :).

Hello Ross,
It looks like Lyteframe is the possible one - it has the PREV / NEXT links on the pop-up page. As it is 10pm here, I am closing down and will re-visit tomorrow to delve more deeply.
Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick

Sounds good. Keep me up to date with how you are making out.

You basically just need to download the lytebox files, stick them on your server and then make sure you link to them on your template. After that, there is a rel= attribute needed in the link tags around each of your images.

Pretty straight forward setup once you get going.

We don't really do a whole lot of support for 3rd party scripts like this but I can defintiely get it going through consulting if you like :).

Hello Ross,
So much for closing down at 10pm (it is now 11.30pm).
I will be asking a quote for a price tomorrow (Saturday) once I make sure I have explained the requirement properly.

I have not forgotten the feedback for you re that 3-website-3-Google-maps problem we had some months back. Perhaps this weekend.

Oh, and email the method of getting 20 photos (or any number) for each property we ended up with. We upload all property data this weekend.

Regards
Nick
