CHMOD not correct with created lsiting page and uploaded images Can't Post

Hi,

When i create a new listing with listing manager and upload images, most of the time the CHMOD is not set correctly to the listing file (html) and images. The CHMOD is set to 666, i need to manually change this with my FTP program.

What can be the reason of this and how are we going to fix this?

Bye

Hi there,

This is actually set by your hosting provider by default, although there are ways for Listings Manager to overwrite this.

However, 666 should be fine - is there a reason you need to change this? What are you changing it to?

Sorry, CHMOD rights are set to 600.
I will ask the server provider to check the settings

Our server provider can not fix the server side issue. How can we make sure that Listing Manager sets the CHMOD correctly?

Hi there,

Ah, if that's the case, then yes, Listings Manager can definitely overrule that.

In your /exec/config.ini file, you'll find a line like this:

#umask = 000

Remove the "#" from the front, and save. Then republish your listings. You may need to manually change any existing listings, but any new listings should have more appropriate permissions. :)
