Re: [pilotchris84] Installation....Template : Template cell 'file_noexec' is not defined! [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi there,

Yep, that error indicates the permissions aren't quite right.

The umask won't affect the permissions of program files, only of files that Listings Manager is updating. However, if you'd like us to take a look at your installation and see if we can get all the permissions set correctly for you, try filling out the support request form here:

https://www.interactivetools.com/support/email_support.cgi

I hope this helps. :)

Re: [Donna] Installation....Template : Template cell 'file_noexec' is not defined! [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Donna. Thanks for weighing in. I understand this error means the permissions are incorrect however each time I set them manually and then run the install something is changing the permissions automatically. Any thoughts as to why this would happen and how I can stop it?

Thanks!

Hi there,

The installation script doesn't touch the permissions in the /exec/ directory at all. Only files that it's modifying (ie, some of the files in the /data/ directory) could have their permissions changed. It's possible that your server has different defaults, but if we can take a closer look at what's happening, we can probably track down a solution for you. :)
