Testing Server Migration Can't Post

Hello,

I am in the process of updating the look and feel of our 2yr old website. During this update, I am adding the instant realty function to present listings to our customers. I plan to leave the current website active until the replacement is fully developed. I am building the new site on a testing server.

My question involves the migration of the instant realty database from the testing server when I am ready to go live with the new website. Are there any potential problems or workarounds that I need to put in place now to make this transfer simple and easy?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike

Re: [texascoffee] Testing Server Migration [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Mike

Thanks for posting!

The main thing with a server move is your data. That can be a little tricky to move over. If you are just going to use dummy text and image for testing it out, moving the rest of Instant Realty Website is easy. By the rest, I mean, all your sections and the actual template pages.

When the time comes to move, let me know and we'll go over it together :).
