List field losing value... Can't Post
Hi

I'm using Realty Manager. I've updated a list type field from 'Use options listed below' to 'Get Options from databse'. I've set the tablename, option value and option label.

The list selction works fine. The problem is when i save the record after making a field change that particular list field change disapears. i.e. the field defaults back to 'Select'. Have i missed something here?

I have other list fields in the same section which derive values from other sections in the databse and they work fine..

Hi Ross

thanks for the quick response. I think I've figured out the problem but still not sure what's causing it.


I had used the LOAD DATA INFILE command to load records into my source table for the list field that we're discussing. I deleted the records from the table and inserted them through Realty Manager. all works fine now.

Not sure why my bulk insert caused this problem. Any ideas?

Hi there.

That's an odd one. I guess though, when you were loading the records some of the fields weren't entered properly. My first thought on that would be the date fields. Instant Realty Website uses a specific kind of date format.

Entering data right through the interface is really the way to go. That's how the system was setup to work best.

Keep me up to date with how you are making out :).
