CMS glitches and error message Can't Post

Hi all,
I've just installed my new Instant Realty Website CMS. I've removed a couple of fields and added new ones accordingly which I won't displayed. However, I've found the following issues:
1) If I view the listings page it says: getRecords(listings): Unknown field 'mls' in filenameFields or titleField options! - even though I've removed mls
2) The wysiwyg box won't display when creating a new listing
3) If I edit my listing setup (Admin>Section Editor>Listings) once I change one thing, it displays the default fields, if I then go out the screen and back in, everythings ok, unless I then edit another field it does the same.

Am I going mad?

Many thanks

Hi Jarvis!

In your section editor, take a look at the options along the top of the screen -- there will be a list of options specific to that section, like listpage fields, sort order, filename fields, etc. Make sure that the "MLS" field isn't in any of those.

For the WYSIWYG editor, first thing you'll want to check is, of course, that it's set as a WYSIWYG field. :) If it is, can you give me more details about what happens? Does anything show up? What browser/operation system are you using?

I'm not quite following your third question -- can you give me a little more detail?

Donna

Hi Donna,

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm slowly getting somewhere with this now! With regards to the WYSIWYG issue, the field was set correctly, I've altered this to text box for the mo in order to get the site running. Otherwise, you get the field name but no box is displayed. This is using IE7 on a Windows XP Pro PC.

The other issue was bizarre and not something that's easy to explain via text, however, within the admin>section editor>listings there was a field called MLS for example. I simply deleted this and created my own called Rent. However the MLS field then showed on the page again. I therefore clicked back on admin>section editor>listings and MLS had gone and rent was there. If I then created another field or moved anything around using the up/dpwn arrows, MLS would re-appear! Hope that now makes sense?

Thanks

Hi jarvis

That's definitely an interesting problem you are describing with the MLS field. Once it's been deleted from the system, it shouldn't start appearing again.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you delete it from the system, you still need to delete it from your templates. Those two things work independent of one another.

I am thinking the best thing to do though would be to send me some FTP details through consulting@interactivetools.com so I can take a closer look. If you could mention this forum thread in the email, that would be great.

Thanks!
