Permission Settings Can't Post

In your setup instructions you mention the permission settings for the doc directory and contents and the admin.cgi within the exec directory. What permission settings do I use for the other directories and files? I'm getting an internal server error with a 404. Usually happens when permissions are set right. Thanks.

Never mind. Found "my" mistake.

Re: [JillCA] Permission Settings [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Jill!

Thanks for your post. :)

Actually, if you're getting a 404, that's not the permissions -- that's a "page not found" error.

If you're getting internal server errors when trying to access your docbuilder admin.cgi, you'll want to make sure that the permissions are set to 755 (world readable/executable) and that the path to perl (the first line of the cgi if you open it in a text editor) is correct. You can check with your web host if you're not sure what the path to perl is.

What's the address to the site where you're gettng these errors?

Or, you can fill out an installation request and have us install it for you. :)

Let me know if you're still having problems.

Cheers!
Donna
