Integrate into page Can't Post

Hello,
I would like to integrate my Doc Builder pages into my web page layout so that it matches other pages. Should I work somehow with with templates or how should I proceed. The pages are static html pages with includes. Thanks...great product!

Re: [MayDay] Integrate into page [In reply to] Can't Post

MayDay,

You're exactly right...the templates are designed in plain HTML to make it easy to modify them to suit your design. They're fairly bare bones to make it easier to add and modify the code, but you could always copy the "guts" of the template and drop them into your web page design. Make sure you keep backup of the default templates, both as a reference and as a "working" version to revert to if you accidentally break things. Note that your template edits won't show up until you've saved (forcing a republish) each document that uses the template.

If you have things like navigation and header includes, you should be able to integrate those includes into your templates as well so that when you update those elements it will also update your documentation automatically.

I hope this answers your question. If you have some specific questions as you're going through this process, let us know and we'll see if we can assist. :)
