Re: [InSite] Doc Builder 1.10 Released [In reply to] Can't Post

Aagh! Mine doesn't work. I have just followed the upgrade steps precisely except I did not upload the files in Upgrade paragraph 1.3 referring to the collapsible menus because I had previously upgraded to version 1.07 and my collapsible menus were working fine (and I didn't want to overwrite my template modifications).

When I log into my DocBuilder now, it does say that I've got 1.10 installed, but there is no htmlArea when I try to create documents. I even created a new Document Group to see if it would only work on new groups.

Any ideas on what I might be missing?

Hi Susan,

Thanks for posting! :)

Before you can use the WYSIWYG editor you have to first enable it. You can do this by going to the Setup Options -> General Options and under "Use WYSIWYG Editor" select "Yes". Save and you're done.

I hope this helps!

Re: [Luke] Doc Builder 1.10 Released [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Luke,

Thanks for the help. It sounded so simple - I have now enabled the WYSIWYG editor, saved, logged out and back in again. It still isn't working. Now when I look at an existing document using 'modify' in my Document Manager, the only change is that all of my old text documents are run together with some <br> tags inserted, and the radio buttons to select either text or html have disappeared.

If I create a completely new Document Group and try to create a new document, I just have a blank space for the content, no htmlArea and no radio buttons to select text vs. html.

Susan

Re: [Susan] Doc Builder 1.10 Released [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Susan,

Is DocBuilder installed in two locations for you, ie in your CGI-Bin and on your web root? You may have done what I originally did, and uploaded the images/htmlarea to the CGI-bin instead of the publish directory. If that is the case, you should get an error on your browser window, something like "object expected". Just move it to the right place, and it should be fine :)

Other than that, can you use htmlArea elsewhere, such as in the demo area on this site? This will verify that your browser is capable of using it.

Hope this helps :)

Woo-hoo! That was it, InSite. I had uploaded the htmlArea images to the images folder within the cgi-bin/db directory and they needed to be in the public html directory.

Thank you so much for the help. It now appears to be working.

This is great, I've been waiting for this a long time.
