Wierd problem Can't Post

Hi
Was updating my site when suddenly noticed some bizzare activity which I cannot fathom.
Please check the attachment PROBLEM.jpg where there are links to:
newsbin 5.02 warez
and attachment problem2.jpg produkt key vista
Fixed it by replacing the relevant templates
Questions is: How did these links get there in the first place?
Thanks
Crazy

Re: [yallaf1] Wierd problem [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi there,

It looks like someone gained access to your server and made changes to your templates. Because your templates are generally writable (so that Article Manager can update them) this means that if someone gains access to your server via another method (usually through an insecure third party script) they can make changes.

It's very unlikely that Article Manager was the script used to gain access to your server. We run full security audits of our software on a regular basis, and there are no known security holes. However, any other script that you're running on your server could have been used to gain access as well. I'd strongly recommend contacting your hosting provider so that they can help you track down where this came from.

I hope this helps. :)
