Urgent - Publishing Loop/problem

We seem to have a problem. I have uploaded and turned on all of the new category and article templates. The Category templates are specific to *each* category (I followed the instructions, copied the rule, then changed the rule name / template etc.) There's about 100 categories. Set up about 7 article templates (main categories only). Disabled the original template rules in the admin panel. Clicked the check all button... told it to "Publish all" selected rules that are enabled, and ensured that the disabled ones were NOT checked. It's looping. This has been since Friday night, we've tried to rebuild, and its constantly rebuilding. Okay, we have 40,000 articles, but I didn't think it should take THIS long. Sunday night I cancelled the build, and set the headline and rss feeds to build. They eventually finished. So then before I went to bed, I turned on JUST the article pages to build, including the printer pages. (Remember, the original article rule is disabled). I waited a few minutes, checked one of the new headlines that built, and it printed fine with the new template. This morning, it was *Still* publishing, AND, it had reverted the article pages BACK to the old (former) template, AND none of the printer pages seem to exist! I've gone over EVERYTHING and there's no reason this should be happening. I can't manually turn on the publishing for each section on a daily basis because (as you know), publishing each article takes forever to get through everything, so we typically disable the rules until we do a full build (usually weekly). I need to be able to "publish all" when I need to, and NOT have it take 48+ hours. Help?? I've gone over everything, all the templates are called properly, so short of deleting the old templates from the system, I have no idea what's wrong. Maybe something simple, but I'm definitely missing something! Yesterday the category pages did the same thing - reverted to the old. Today I manually rebuilt *just* the new category templates and they worked - so somewhere, a rule is being published to put them back to the old, even though I've turned that one off too? Help - please! Amber
