Upgrading error and mysql questions Can't Post

Hi

I have a question while I wait for a reply from my request for support on the upgrade [I got the message Error: Can't open '/HAWKING/WEBs/xxxx/Public/cgi-bin/artman2/utils/config.ini' : Invalid argument at (eval 14) line 19, <DATA> line 546. when I tried to convert the program.

Could you also let me know how I can upgrade AM2 to MySQL later on, when I wish to use that functionality - or is it much better to install MySQL on my system BEFORE upgrading? I should add that I have a number of other AM installations to convert for clients, I just choose my own magazine for testing AM2, so using MySQL is an important issue for me.

regards

Andrew Palmer

AMP,

There should be no problem at all migrating from flatfile to mySQL later - mySQL is totally optional, and you can even go back to flatfile later if you need to. However, if you have in excess of 1000 articles, mySQL is definitely recommended.

All you will need to move to mySQL is the information for your mySQL database on your web host to put into the Database Editor in Article Manager 2:

If you need any help with this, let us know. Wink
