Hello,

Is it possible for AM2 to publish the category number instead of the actual category name in the url?

ex: http://www.yourdomain.com/artman/publish/123/article_title.php

123 = category

Hi there.

Thanks for the email!

You can get the category number in there by changing the publish rule. Click to Admin -> Publishing and then modify one of your article list publish rules.

You'll see a field with "<catFile>/index" in it. Change that to "<catNum>/index" and you should be good to go.

I am not exactly sure which publish rules you will want to be editing but it's the same thing for each one.

Thanks Ross. This is great. I was able to integrate a 3rd party slideshow with AM. I am using front page slide show (frontpageslideshow.net), and with a bit of custom scripting with mysql db, I got it to work! Now I have a dynamic slideshow tool that completely automated with AM2.

My clients are all over this one.
