Removing the time article written Can't Post

I only want the date displayed when my articles are published.

I've tried hunting for $article.time$ in the main article templates without success.

Thanks

Edit the articlePage.html template. Locate $article.date$ and modify it to be $article.date:format(MM/dd/yy)$. Refer to http://www.interactivetools.com/docs/articlemanager2/templates/modifiers_format.html for other formatting options.

Thanks that's very helpful.

Easy when you know how.

And in case anyone else has the same problem you can alter the format. Being English - where we believe the whole world does things the wrong way - because they're different to us

I used the format $article.date:format(wwww d MMM yyyy)$
which gives me the full day written out, the day number, month spelt out and the full year.

Details of the different formats can be found at the botton of

Admin
Then Regional Settings

Again Thanks

Any way to modify the $article.date$ variable site wide to not include the time without having to modify the variable in every template?

Hi there,

You can modify how the date appears sitewide by going to Admin > Regional Settings. :)
