Random Internal Server Error Can't Post

Hi there,
On a 2.16 installation of article manager 2, an Internal Server Error occurs randomly on the article listings page (admin.cgi?action=articleList)

By random, I mean that I can click on the Articles tab and then refresh the page, and about 30% of the time, the page will load as a Internal Server Error instead of displaying the article list.

It only seems to happen on the article listings page, and I have re-uploaded all the admin files bar the files in the data folder, and checked the permissions and everything seems fine.

Has anyone else come across a problem like this?

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Andy Parsons

Re: [hrimthurs] Random Internal Server Error [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Andy!

Thanks for your post. :)

Do you have Article Manager setup to use a MySQL database, or flatfile? If it's set to flatfile, roughly how many articles do you have?

If you have more than 1000 articles and you're using flatfile (or less, if your articles are particularly large) you may want to swap to MySQL instead. It sounds like it might just be timing out while trying to read from the database.

If that doesn't apply, or doesn't fix your problem... try filling out a support request form and we can take a closer look and see what's going on. :)
