Private Label? Can't Post

Hello there,

Forgive me if I am ignorant about "private label" rights, which I understand, in part, makes my website look like my own.

When I recommend AM or CMS to certain clients they will go to your site and buy a licence. So I don't understand why I can resell your software to my clients?

I am confused to what this reselling side of private label means!

Rod

Hi Rod!

Reselling means exactly that -- you'd buy the software yourself, install it on your clients site, then use the private label option to remove our name from it. This allows you to set your own price. Some people even charge monthly fees, or bundle it with the website design & integration. Your customers don't need to know that we exist.

It's not necessary, and if your current methods work fine, then that's no problem -- there's absolutely no difference in the software or the license regardless how you're purchasing. It's just an option we have for people who want to market their services another way. :)

I am still a little slow here, Donna. If I can just resell your software why do I need to buy multiple licences even at reduced rates?

Hi Rod,

When you resell, you're reselling an individual license -- the license agreement still stands, so each of the people you resold a license to would still need their own license. You can't simply buy a single license and resell that one license to anybody else. :)

Does that make sense? Basically, each installation needs to have its own license, but you can set your own price for each of those licenses and take our name off of the software when you install it on your clients site. :)
