Hi Nigel,

Thanks for your feedback.

I've put together a FAQ here to address some of the common questions we're getting and we can announce something in the next newsletter: http://www.interactivetools.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=77550#77550

You can actually do those things you asked about in CMS Builder. But you are one of the top AM2 pros in the community and switching will be hard. It's like me switching from a programming language I know to one I don't. I have to go from 100 miles an hour down to 5 for a while.

The reality is there's just not the demand for AM2 anymore. And while you mastered most of it (and even showed us some things) it's more challenging for new users to learn. This means higher support costs and lower adoption of the product.

That said, we're working on an data importer, and constantly adding features, so if CMSB doesn't do everything you want right now maybe it will soon. And you can certainly keep using AM2. We've even just lowered the price 50%!

Hope that helps! Feel free to post on the FAQ thread if you want to join the discussion (or email email me directly if you want to chat).

Haha! Yeah, for sure the change is a big part of it. I've only done one or maybe two sites in CMS Builder, as opposed to Article Manager which I've done probably 15+ or so at this stage. I definitely need to play with CMS Builder, and not during a client project, you're absolutely right.

Thanks for the info. I look forwards to reading the FAQ later. Yes, AM2 with all of its "open up the heart of the software" did make it more complicated at some levels even if more customizable. I can totally see how that might have driven a few people away even if the AM nerds liked it. :-)

Thanks Dave!
