Need a good designer Can't Post

Hello,

I've been using AM for 5 years now (AM2 since May this year), and still very happy with the product! After 5 years I think it's time for a new design by a professional designer, but I'm not sure where to start.

1. Should I just look for a web designer, or should he or she be a specialist on AM2?

2. My website includes some static pages that I designed in Freeway Pro (these pages have the same look as AM so the news part and static pages look like one website). Is there a way to include static pages in AM, or use another web based tool to update my static pages? I'd like to have everything web based.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Marco

For my second question, would CMS Builder be an option? I watched the video of CMS Builder but still not sure if it would work for my website. I'm thinking of using AM2 or the news section and CMS Builder for the static pages.

Hi Marco

Thanks for posting!

When it comes to templates for Article Manager, your designer won't need to know anything about Article Manager. As long as they design your new templates in HTML, they will work with Article Manager. We can give you pointers on how to hook the new ones up or just do it for you if you like.

With CMS Builder, I think it's a perfect program for updating the single pages on your site. If you like, we can go over everything in more detail though as CMS Builder can also handle a news section on your site if you like and at that point, you would only be using the one program.

Let me know what you think and we'll go from there. Thanks!

Re: [ross] Need a good designer [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Ross,

Many thanks for that. We really like AM2. Having 7000+ articles in the database, with 5-7 new articles per day posted by people who don't know nothing about HTML, I think AM would be the best choice? (I'm still confused what CMS Builder really does. Copying and pasting code worries me...)

I assume if I find a good web designer he or she will definitely know what she's doing in regard to AM2? I'm thinking of hiring a designer from GetAFreelancer or similar site.

Thanks!
Marco
