Is upgrading free or how much does it cost? Can't Post

I have five AM 1 websites. I couldn't find out how much an upgrade from AM 1 to AM 2 will cost (if anything). I found this on your upgrade page:

Quote
We offer free upgrades for 90 days from the day you purchased. If you're eligible for a free upgrade you can download it here.

We've had AM 1 for more than 90 days. Would there be a charge for us to upgrade? If so, how much does the upgrade license cost --- either per site, or for five sites?

If this is staring me right in the face my apologies... Smile

Hi Craig!

When you purchased your license, it was free upgrades for life -- that hasn't changed for you! Only licenses purchased after August 15th have the 90 day limitation... and since we're still within 90 days of August 15th, this means that everybody who currently has a license of Article Manager 1 will get Article Manager 2 for free. :)

free upgrades for life

Great! But whose life?

At one time we had an office in Australia, and so we flew there quite frequently. I bought a lifetime membership in the Ansett Airways "Golden Wings" programme --- a bit like the Red Carpet or Admirals Club lounges in the States. Little did I realise that this meant the life of Ansett --- it went out of business a few years ago.

Smile

We look forward to updating to AM 2.0.

Heh, good story. So I guess it would be our collective lives, meaning yours and/or ours! :)

The important thing, is everyone gets something free now, and that's sure a nice benefit for everybody. :)

Actually, considering future upgrades will involve some kind of cost for the rest of us (boo Frown), will current users of AM have to pay the full license price, or something more drastically reduced to reflect ownership of a previous version?

In other words, will there be a deeply discounted "Upgrade price" as opposed to a "full version install" price involved?

Upgrades will be reasonably priced for what they do, and certainly less than full version price for existing users.

We actually haven't even given that much thought to what upgrade pricing will be but I know it won't be full price. :)

And of course, users will free lifetime upgrades won't have to pay anything. Unless, of course, they really want to that is. ;)
