Inline comments plug-in Can't Post

Anyone seen an Inline Comments plug in that would go at the end of every article posted to allow our visitors to post a comment for Article Manager 2? Preferrably something that would require a log-in of some sort?

Thanks!

Re: [gwiley] Inline comments plug-in [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi there

Thanks for posting!

We actually use a fairly simple comments script from script mills. It uses a MySQL database and runs in PHP. There's a captcha on it to help with spam and an admin that you can use to delete (not modify) posts. The only thing is that it doesn't require a log in.

Does that sound like something that would work for you? Send me an email through consulting@interactivetools.com and we can go over it in more details :).

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, Ross.

I came across something that works perfect for what I needed and also incorporates a bunch of other tools, if desired. A google gadget located at http://www.google.com/friendconnect/ allows me to embed at the template level a 'review' gadget which lets people post anon or logged in using any of their google accounts. It also lets them rate the article, news posting, review or commentary on the site. Which works perfect because it tells me what my visitors like and dislike. You can 'moderate' their comments/reviews and make it so you have to approve each one, or leave it unmoderated. You can also delete inappropriate comments/reviews.

Hope someone else finds this useful!

Does it alert of posting via email? or that article page has been updated?

Yes, the admin gets notified via email when new comments are posted. Also users, when posting a comment, can check a box to be notified about new comments on the page.

Hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
