IE 8 beta and Article Manager Can't Post
Hello,

A friendly warning, new Internet Explorer 8 and article manger do not work together well. Everything is centered from the admin to web site view. I switch back to IE 7 and it all seems fine however IE8 does make your web site article manger layout wrapped and the links are in the wrong spot.

Until they get the bugs worked out I recommend avoiding downloading IE 8.

Hi Kimber,

Thanks for the heads up. :) We generally don't worry too much about beta software, as it can go through a *lot* of changes before it's released... but we'll definitely keep an eye on that once it gets closer to release date!

Hi all,

Any update on this situation? I know IE8 is still in Beta, but it's gaining some traction. Aside from the ArtMan centering issue, the WYSIWYG editor has no toolbar buttons so it's functionally unusable.

Do you know if the ArtMan dev team is looking into this?

Hi there,

IE8 has been released for a few days now, but as of yet the makers of the WYSIWYG editor we use in Article Manager don't seem to have a new release yet, so there's not much we can do with that.

At the moment, the "compatibility mode" works really well -- if you tell it to use that, it'll fix it right up in the meantime until Innova releases a new version. :)

Hi there,

At the moment, Article Manager hasn't been updated for that, so we're still recommending compatibility mode for those using the WYSIWYG editor in IE8.

For those who may not know ,

Compatibility Mode can be activated by clicking on the button located between the address bar and the refresh button in IE8.
