How to Post Same Article Within Multiple Categories Can't Post
Been using Article Manage 2.1 for about three months now and attempting to learn how things run, etc.

Have a question and not sure if this is an easy request or complicated request.

We have a site that we would like to post our articles to Multiple sections of our website (categories).

Right now we have two categories and when our staff posts an article they select one of the categories in our admin.

What we would like to do is have a lot more categories and allow our staff to select more than one category for the article when posting our stories.

For example, if we have a story on Apple Computer, we would like that story to be posted to our main home page (like all the stories are now) and then another section that we would have setup for Apple Computers. This way, when someone wants to look at an archive of all of our stories on Apple Computer than can pull up that specific category.

Hope this makes senses.

Anyone have any suggestions on how this can be done?

If I'm understanding you right, the answer is simple.

When you select the first category in the articles section, below that is a link which says

add another category

Just click there and then select another category, do this as often as you need to.

I don't think AM2 is set up right now so you can post the same article in different categories. Maybe in the next release?

What maybe you can use is the related-articles feature, with a little modding here and there you can create an Apple-only list of articles with the help of adding keywords to specific articles.

That was to simple -

I cannot tell you how many times our staff saw that option but assumed it was for something else -

As they say - the easiest things are always the most complicated Wink

We added the new categories and then added a new template for those pages and it works like a charm -

Thanks - but the suggestion that Moonworks posted works like a charm -

We added the new categories and then we added a new template for those pages and it works great -

Glad to have answered a question instead of asking them Smile

I'm finding that alot of of AM2 is quite obvious - once you know where to do things, which I'm just starting to learn.

This is a great feature! Just to be sure I understand this correctly: if you select more categories to post the same article, the RSS feeds of all categories will have that same article as well?

Hi, I had the same situation too. Before I discovered that there was actually an option for add category, for months, i settled for too general categories available in the default choices! What a waste! Anyway, I edited my previous posts though and placed it in its proper category now.
