Featured toggle on/off depending on user Can't Post

Hope this makes sense.

When someone submits their article, they can click the Featured box, which of course means (usually) that their article appears at the top.

Now, I can't remember exactly what we did in the past, but we have it that the Guest authors (even if they click it), it makes no difference.

So my question is:

I have now created some featured authors - ONLY Featured authors have log ins.

Is there a way to turn OFF the featured box (completely hide it) for (say) user=2 (OR off for any user # LESS than 6),

and automatically checked ON for any user equal to or greater than 6?)

That way, those ones will appear at the top of the submissions list when I look for new articles to approve? (Otherwise I have to scroll down and manually load to view pending by each Featured Category, and there's 70 of them LOL)

Hi Amber,

Hmm. I think the only way you could do that would be if you didn't use checkboxes for anything else, as the easiest (potential -- I'm not sure my idea will work) idea I've got on how to do that would change how ALL checkboxes work -- it would involve using an "If" that hides all checkboxes from your lowest level accounts.

And even then we're getting a little beyond what our regular support can cover. If you'd like to go into more detail about this... feel free to contact our consulting, we can probably come up with something that'll do this -- or, you might want to give that a try on your own, I think you've done some similar stuff to that already. :)
