FTP question Can't Post

Hello,

I have a couple of Article Managers sites. Questions: I want to move some of the articles from one articles manager to another web site's article manager. If I ftp out the pages and images then ftp them into the other article manager. Example: Christmas articles in one article mangaer to the Christmas section in another articles. Then hit publish all, will the article manager pick up the new articles? I am looking for a time saving way to move articles from one to anothers.

Thanks
Kimberly

Re: [Kimber] FTP question [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Kimber,

Nope. Article Manager only publishes what's in the database. While it's technically possible to manually move articles into the database, it's not really recommended unless you're very experienced with databases (especially if you're using MySQL.)

Copying & pasting from one to another is generally the best bet. If you have a LOT of articles you want to import, you could hire our consulting department to write a script for you to do this, but unless you have quite a few, it'll probably be more time effective to do it the old fashioned way. :)

Hi,

I didn't think it would work but I figure it was worth asking. I not even sure I going to move them over and was more fishing for ideas ....Smile

Thanks
