Automatic Publishing Can't Post

I can't seem to find a post or documentation on how to turn off automatic publishing everytime I add a category (have 32 to add). I goes and publishes everytime I save a new category.

Any ideas?

Just saw that 2.02 is available and corrects the problem:

"- Publishing: Added "Cancel Publishing" link to defer publishing when making lots of edits "

Hi Jim,

Another option is to disable all your Publish Rules, finish adding your categories then enable them again and click Publish All.

To disable your Publish Rules go to Admin > Publishing, select the checkbox in the blue Publishing Rule title bar (to select all the rules) then at the bottom left in the Advanced Commands select "Disable selected rule" then click Go.

Hope that helps. :)

Re: [Damon] Automatic Publishing [In reply to] Can't Post

I don't see a Go button in v2.02. Only Publish All, Save, Cancel, Refresh and Create. After checking the boxes next to every publishing rule and clicking Save, Refresh and Create I still don't have any indication that those rules are turned off. And there's no way in hell I'm going to wait until 15 minutes for every category to republish. I have plenty of work to do with getting ready to release my site in v2.02 and this issue is making it next to impossible for me to do what needs to be done.

Just a note ... Next time I would advise completing the documentation before releasing a product. The publishing rules docs end mid-sentence and you can tell that necessary information that is not available is intended to go there.

Hi,

On the Publishing Rules page (Admin > Publishing), you should see the "go" button is at the bottom left of the page beside the Advanced Commands dropdown.

If you still don't see it, check that your version is 2.02 in Admin > Settings. And if needed, upload the admin templates again.

Also, as the docs are being updated, if you have an question that isn't addressed in the docs, please post in the forum or even feel free to email me (damon@interactivetools.com) and I will get your questions answered.. :)

My bad, I've been up for too many hours straight. I see it now, even with crossed eyes.
