Author Account Change ? Can't Post

I have a 'guest' account where people can submit articles without registering.

But - I have one who requested an account, so we set one up for him.

He submitted one article as the guest author (before asking about an account).

Is there a way I can assign/change the "Created by (by Guest)"

to his account so that he can see it?

I can't seem to find it in the Admin... would I have to do it in the SQL or would it mess up?

Amber

Hi there,

If it's just the one article, I'd actually recommend just having him re-create it under his new account, then deleting the old one. Would that work for you?

If that's the only way it would work...

If we have to do this, the article was published, meaning it will now mess up the URL. (It'll say filename exists).

But if that's the only choice, we can.

Hi Amber,

Delete the old one first (or change the filename). :)

Or, create the new one, then delete the old one, then change the filename on the new one. You can definitely set it up so it has the same filename as the current one.
