Hello,

I don't get what your needing. I surfed your site and there is a google ad on the bottom of each article.

Re: [Kimber] Google Ads on web pages question [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi
The google ads you see at the foot of each report are copy/past manually prior to publishing. Is there anyway to automate this? Namely have a script of sorts to automatically insert these every time an article is published. Hope that makes sense now...

I think I go it

In Admin > Template Editor get singlePages/siteFooter.html in the pull down window and modify. Add your google codes in the footer, save, republish then they will also show up on ever articles. If it would help, one of my sites is http://www.momsbreak.com/printable/index.shtml and you can see I have google ads in many places add them into the Admin > Template Editor.

Hope that helps

Re: [peevee] Google Ads on web pages question [In reply to] Can't Post

HI Kimber,

I have tried this and nothing shows up at the foot of the published articles.

I can see that the "copyright notice" is in the siteFooter.html template, and this shows in the foot of each published article OK, but not the Google ADS !

Is there something else that needs to be done to enable this ??

Thanks.
Aussie

Hi Aussie -- make sure you re-publish after making any changes to your templates, either through the "Publish All" button, or through the individual "Publish" button on each publish rule. :)

Hi Donna,

Yep, I did "publish all" after making changes and "saving" the template.

Any other thoughts on why the changes are not publishing ?

Thanks.
Aussie

UPDATE:

I have noticed in Admin > Publishing that there is NO separate "publishing rule" for "Footer".

Should there be one ?

Thanks

Hi there,

By default, yes... although you may have made changes. What options show if you try editing the publish rule? Are you using the footer in your current templates?

Re: [Donna] Google Ads on web pages question [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Donna,

There isn't a "publishing rule" for Footer.

There is a "template" see below singlePages/siteFooter.html

This is the template code:-

<!--footer starts here-->
<div id="footer">
<p>
&copy; Copyright $_lastupdated:format(yyyy)$ by $my.sitename$

&nbsp;|&nbsp;

</p>
</div>
<!--end footer-->

But as I said, there is NO corresponding "publishing rule". Can you send me the configuration of the "publishing rule" so I can create one.

Thanks
Aussie

Hi there,

Ah, looks like you may have removed it. :)

You don't have to have a specific footer file. You can add your AdSense code directly into your templates if you want. Or, if you want to add a new footer publish rule & add that to your templates instead, that works fine. You can take a look at the online demo to see how Article Manager's publish rules are setup by default. :)
