exclude one category from homepage Can't Post

I just want articles from one category to be excluded from the Latest News and Updates on my homepage.

I have successfully excluded category types from the right hand column but it is the main article lists with the summaries etc that I want to exclude from.

My site
http://southlandmedia.com.au/artman/publish/index.shtml

I just do not want the articles on position vacant to show up in the main column (they just show up as articles in the left column)

I think there are sme threads on this but I could not make anything work so I thought I might have misunderstood them

Thanks again - I swear the next site I am doing will be much smoother!!

Hi Margaret.

Thanks for posting!

Excluding a category from your index pages is definitely do able and the best place to start with this is going to be a forum post by Mike. I am not sure if you had already seen it or no though:

Could you have a look and let me know? All the steps in that one should get you going so give it a shot if you hadn’t already and keep me up to date with how you are making out Smile.
