Using the Catagory and Headlines Can't Post

I'm trying to edit the template that was provided and i was wondering how to use the caragory list and headline list on every page. the only place i can see it being used on the template site is with the search.cgi script. i just want to use it on every page.Wink

Re: [frokel] Using the Catagory and Headlines [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi,

The category list and latest headlines should be included on every index page and article page through Server Side Includes.

From what I'm reading it sounds like SSIs have not been enabled on the web server. If you send me a link to your Article Manager front page I can verify this for you.

Re: [Luke] Using the Catagory and Headlines [In reply to] Can't Post

Im kinda new to this whole template editing thing. im pretty sure your right about about the ssi not being enabled but at this time i dont have a template up that has those tags in it for the headlines and category list. but if you could, could you walk me thru on how to enable SSI's on my server or is that something im going to have to talk over with my hosting company.

Thanks again

Hi,

If SSIs have not been enabled you'll want to contact your hosting provider and have them enable SSIs on your server.

Let me know if you have any more questions. :)
