Using field on seperate page Can't Post

Hi,

Not sure if this is possible. I'd like to take just one of the fields I've created for a particular category and use just that field's info on other pages. I am using PHP includes with great success in populating the rest of my site.

Thanks!

Hi Greg,

Thanks for your post. :) I'm not quite following what you're asking here -- can you go into more detail?

Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you. :)

Re: [Donna] Using field on seperate page [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Donna,

Have a look at:

http://ourtimes.ca/artman/publish/article_16.php

In the right side column under the magazine cover image is data from a field I created. (In this case $art_field5$)

What I am trying to do is have the latest issue image and field text associated with it appear on all pages.

Maybe I'm just having a brain cramp...not surprising. I guess I am trying to have one template (in this case 'Latest Issue' populate the whole site.

Also, as you can see at:
http://www.ourtimes.ca/artman/Latest/

I need previous issues to fall under that heading.

Thanks for all your support!!

Greg

Hi Greg,

Without taking a look at your templates, it's a little hard to say what's going on here...

However, it looks like you're using an Article field, and you want it to show up on category pages? The article information will only appear on sections specific to that article -- ie, the article page itself, or the article entry on a category index page.

I think at this point it might be a little easier if we can take a look at how you've got your site setup from the back end. Would you be able to fill in a support request form? You can fill this out here:

Thanks, Greg! I look forward to helping you. :)
