Use images already loaded Can't Post

Hi,

To avoid duplication, how do I re-use an image that has already been uploaded for another article. Will the Browse function allow one to use the uploaded image file? e.g.www.mysite.com/artman/images ?

Regards

Hi Tony.

Thanks for posting!

Article Manager treats each article and all its images as one entity however, all the images you upload end up having valid URLs so what you can do for articles that need the same image is use the WYSIWYG editor.

The editor has an image link tool that will let you enter the URL to an image so all you would do is upload that image using Article Manager to one article, and then use its URL to get it appearing in any other article.

Does that sound like it would work? Let me know what you think Smile.

Hi Ross,

Thanks for that - one potential hassle is that if the original article and/or image is deleted then the referring article will have an error. This is especially a problem if there are two different authors unaware of what the other is updating.

I assume that an archived article will retain the same URL for an image?
