Upgrading from 1.23 to 1.41 Can't Post

Since I need to reinstall AM on a new server, I will probably upgrade from 1.23 to 1.41 at the same time - as mentioned in a previous e-mail, I don't think that I need at this point to upgrade to AM 2.

Question: it seems that a donation is now also required for an upgrade from 1.23 to 1.41. While I am fully willing and prepared to make a donation when upgrading from AM 1 to AM 2, it seems a little bit strange to pay for a minor upgrade, which I make just in case I decide at some point to upgrade one step further.

Could you please clarify your policy regarding upgrades within AM 1? Thank you!

Hi tribulatio!

Donations are totally voluntary for any upgrade (although there are a ton of new features between 1.23 & 1.41!) If you'd prefer not to donate, feel free to enter "0" into the amount field. :)

Thank you, Donna - I didn't realize that there were so many new features. Basically, what made me hesitant is that it is a AM licence on a website which is no longer updated, just kept as archive with some three hundred articles. But it is obvious that you cannot differentiate in such a way, I should have understood it, and your policy is really fair. Probably it doesn't even make sense to upgrade in such a case. While, of course, I will upgrade sooner or later on active websites, and obviously make a donation at that time (including for a website on which the move will just be from 1.38 to 1.41!).

Always the same nice staff on InteractiveTools forum and website - really nice to see how service to customers is cultivated here!
