Unique Article Sorting Priorities by Category?

Can't Post

Is there a way (or are there plans it include in future versions the ability) to select a single category and have that category alone sort its articles in a different way than those set in the SETUP OPTIONS? I've just read this thread, which asks the same question. To clear up my reason for wanting this, I wanted to build a site glossary that would sort alphabetically by title/term, but of course, I wouldn't want this applied globally to the rest of my site. Possible Work-Around: If I understand Bob B's work-around, I could simply:
- Navigate to SETUP OPTIONS under GENERAL tab, enable an "art_field#" and label it "TERM"
- Then designate SORT FIELD 1 to that "art_field#"
- Designate SORT FIELD 2 to "SPARE FIELD 20"
- Designate SORT FIELD 3 to "DATE"
- Save changes
I presume at this point when creating a new article, if the newly created "TERM" article field is not used, AM will then instead sort by SORT FIELD 2, and in effect apply my setting to that one category as desired? I can see how I might need more than three SORT FIELD # pretty quickly... any plans to include more in a future version?
