The 'Create Article' link in the grey top bar..... Can't Post
Ok, I admit it, I'm pretty lazy, but my curiosity has finally got the better of me :)

The 'Create Article' link in the grey top bar has never worked properly for me, does anyone else ever use it?

Both the 'Create Article' & 'Article Editor' link in the grey top bar have always gone to the same place, the article list.

When i hover over it i get this code http://www.blahblahblah/admin.cgi?art_add=1 which seems to indicate it will work, however, when I view the source for the page, a snippet from the link code, i get....

[b]You can clearly see the onclick is going to the wrong place.[/b]

To actually create a NEW article i can only click the 'Create New' button within the main area.

This is not a one off, ALL the installs I have done have this problem.

Anyone seen this before?!?!?

(and why the hell do my markup codes not work properly in this post?)

Okay, after a few tests I found out a another bit of info.

The 'Create Article' link in the grey top bar does infact work, but only on my test PC.

I am MAC based hence the 'has never worked properly for me' statement in my initial post. I have IE 5 on my MAC and it just doesn't like that button :)

Anyhow, I'd still like to know why my markup codes do not work properly in my posts? :(

I had that problem for a while...then it just stopped. I too was using a MAC and IE5
I cannot remember what I did that might have fixed it, but I thought I'd let you know that I had had that problem

Philm,

This is in fact a glitch in the HTML. I wasn't able to reproduce it on IE 5 on OS X but I don't doubt that it can happen. It would probably depend on where you click and which browser you're using.

I'll put it on the list to be fixed in the next minor release.
