Syndicate question Can't Post
Hi,

Will anything go wrong with sites using our content if we go from 10 to 5 on the syndication feed?

This is of course only asking about the ones that use more than 5. It is assumed that the ones at 5 or under would not see a change.

Hi Brian,

When the Webfeed Generator is set to 5 headlines for example, most users don't enter in a higher number of articles then 5 because only 5 will be displayed. So if you increase the syndication feed to 10, users that have their syndication feed set to 5 headlines will see no change .

Users that had the syndication feed set for a higher number of headlines than 5 will see an increased number of headlines when you increase the syndication feed headline number within the Setup Options.

Beyond this, I don't see any other issues or changes that would occur.

Thanks for the reply Damon.

The question was relative to 10 to 5 though. In other words say I am using the syndication at 10 currently and the AM setting is changed from 10 to 5. What will happen to my syndication that is currently showing 10? Will it just move to 5 or will there be errors that show up due to the feed being set at 10 and the AM being set at 5?

Hi again,

After a testing it I found that if the number of webfeed headlines if reduced from 10 headlines to 5 in the Article Manager Setup Options, the syndicated articles appearing on other sites that was previously set at 10 will be reduced to 5 as well. No errors :)
