Search not finding new articles Can't Post
For some reason the search in our Article Manager is no longer locating new articles.

http://www.meridianhealthgroup.ca/cgi-bin/staff/exec/search.cgi

The actual publish directory is password protected. I have loaded the correct login in the admin panel. Any other suggestions?

Ahh I think I know. The articles are in folders set to "hidden" in Artman. So they wont show up on search. But we also need the "more headlines" to work. Any idea how to get around this?

I'm glad to hear that you got the search all sorted out. I'll be happy to help you with the "more headlines" section however at the moment I'm not sure what kind of problem your running into. Hi Chet,

Well the "More Headlines" runs using the search.cgi, and so in a hidden category the articles are not showing. You click "More Headlines" and get a message saying no articles.

Thanks for your email.

That's actually how the software works. The articles within hidden categories are not found with the search engine. :)

So is there no way to get more than one page of articles to show in hidden categories?

Hi there,

Not through the dynamic search engine in Article Manager 1. In that case, you'd want to increase the number of articles on one page. Or, upgrade to Article Manager 2, which offers a lot more options for hidden categories. :)
