Remove Content Management by interactivetools.com Can't Post
javascript: addTag('blush')I must be the dumbest person ever but I cannot work out how to remove
Content Management by interactivetools.com.

which is on all my pages

I checked all the sample sites etc and none of them have this on their sites so I am assuming its ok to remove it but cannot work out how! ( BTW I know I have to change my link colour but that's "under control")

Thanks in advance - no one else seems to have had a problem with this because I tried several searches on the forum

Hi,

Thanks for the post!

To remove the "Content Management by Interactivetools.com" you will need to edit one of the template files, the file you are looking for is the "search_form.html" template. This template file can be found inside the /templates/search/ directory on your web server. :)

Download this file to your local computer and open it with you favorite html text editor, then look for the following lines of code:

Delete the above lines of code then save your changes and re-upload the "search_form.html" file back to the /templates/search/ directory on your webserver. You will also want to login to the Article Manager admin section and re-publish your articles.

Thank you that was way too easy!!

I think I am needing to come to grips more about how the whole system works and when I am working on a template what that actually does.

Also I think the templates on my remote server are different to the ones I have on my local server so now I will need to be very careful about that - to date I have only changed the template called index in the default folder - should I download all the rest of the templates to replace the files on my remote folder" - I don't want to stuff up the work that I have done on the default but I want to get things right.

Once again thanks for the quick and easy to understand response.

Hi,

It's good to hear that everything worked out okay for you!

I would recommend first storing away the template files that you have on your local computer, perhaps place them in a folder called "Old_artman_templates". Storing them away means that you still have them but they won't get confused with your working copies.

Next I would download the /templates/ directory from your webserver and create two copies of the templates directory.

The first copy could be called "fresh_artman_templates" this set of templates would be the ones that you know work and the you don't make changes to.

The second copy that you make could be called "inprogress_artman_templates" these templates would be used for making changes and uploading to your web server.

It's always a good idea to have the same templates locally as the ones that you have currently running on you website, doing this will help you to prevent possible strange template errors. Also having a current set of fresh templates means that if any mistakes are made you can easily correct them by using one of your untouched working templates.

Thanks you - I have done that with the templates so hopefully I will not mess that part of it up!
