Publishing error Can't Post
Hi guys,

I get this error when trying to publish files:

Publishing Error

The program cannot create or write to the file:

/ymapps/dev/db_web/connect/html/artman/publish/category_list9.shtml

Please ask your server administrator to make sure the publish directory and publish file(s) are writable.

I think I know what the problem is, but I just want to double-check with you while I wait for our server folks to fix it.

What might be causing this?

Hi Fred,

Generally when you receive an error that the program cannot create or write to a file it is because the file doesn't have writable permissions.

In this case, you need to have the publish directory made writable.
/ymapps/dev/db_web/connect/html/artman/publish/

If your server administrator can change the file permissions for you, Article Manager should be able to publish to that directory.
