Please Help: Categories Not Showing Up in AM Can't Post
UnsureCan someone help me with a couple of problems I'm experiencing with AM?

1.) In preview mode, I see the search box, categories (left side) and category headlines (right side) just fine. But when an article is published, those things do not show up on the page! Here's a link:

2.) And...I have a lot of old articles that I want to input into AM and then relaunch my site. My question is: How do I input these articles using the same directory structure (articles published in root directory, etc.) without letting my users see this process unfold. I'm afraid the process could take several weeks. Any suggestions?

3.) And finally: Is there a way to name the articles based on different categories/directories? Suppose I had 7 main areas to choose from: Promotion, Law, Management, News, etc...

I would want the articles that go into law to have a similar naming structure--law_0052.html. law_0053.html, etc. and the articles in the Promotion category would have: promotion_001.html, promotion_002.html, etc.

Is this possible??

Sorry for the delay, Mondays are always crazy busy with the backload from the weekend.

#1) SSI's aren't being parsed. Try changing the file extension to .shtml or checking with your web hosting provider (some have a control panel or config file, some you just need to email) about getting SSI's turned on.

#2) I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you mean. If the articles are in any sort of database let me know and we may be able to help you import them. Otherwise, you can have Article Manager publish to a separate directory and then replace the old files with redirects? Or setup a "404 - page not found" page that redirect people to the new main index? If that doesn't help give me some more details on what you're trying to do and I'll try some more.

#3) No, there isn't any way to have different article file naming per category. The next release (coming shortly) will give you the option of choosing article filenames on a per article basic though (eg: legal_new_laws_for_NYC.html). You'd have to enter those manually though.
