No access levels shown in Login Accounts Can't Post

Today I was going to create a new user in Article Manager. When I went to the Login Accounts page in Setup Options I noticed right away that the "Access Level" select box was NOT populated (at least with text I can see), when I select it the dropdown menu appears to be the correct size and I can move the checkmark up and down but no words! I didn't have this problem when I installed and set myself up. Please Help!

Hi Dave!

Well, if that ain't a brain tickler...

What I'd probably recommend is to replace the interface templates with a fresh set, and see if that fixes your missing access level problem. :) You can download the latest version of Article Manager from our Upgrade page here:

http://www.interactivetools.com/upgrade/

This could also be a problem with your config.ini in the exec directory. If you haven't made any changes to it, you can simply replace it with a fresh version from the upgrade.

Let me know if you're still having problems. :)

Hi

I know this priginal question is a few years old but I have the same problem.

The access level is blank and when I go to modify the drop down box is empty.

I replaced the files you suggested - but they wer off my computer so I think they were the same ones as the ones on the rmote.

Please help.

Hi,

Thanks for the post!

One thing that you could do is download a new copy of the software, if you have your Product ID handy you could download a fresh copy of Article Manager here:

http://www.interactivetools.com/upgrade/

You could then replace your current interface templates with a new fresh copy!

Does this sound like it may work for you? If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask. :)

Chet

Thanks for the reply - I downloaded a fresh copy and then loaded it onto the site and it has made no difference.

Help! I really need to start allocating users to the site this week

Thanks

Hi Margaret.

Thanks for the update!

That’s definitely a strange one. Would you mind sending me some FTP details to your server so I can take a closer look?

You can send the details in through a support request here:

https://www.interactivetools.com/support/email_support.cgi

I look forward to hearing from you Smile.

Hi.

This is just an update for anyone else following along in this thread. Margaret sent in her support request and I was able to do some testing. It turned out the problem was that her admin script had become corrupted. The solution was to just upload a new copy and everything was ready to go again.

If anyone else runs into a similar problem, give this a shot and let me know how you make out Smile.

Ross thanks so much for this.

Can I just check -

1. is there anything that I did that could have cuased the corruption

2. When you replaced the corrupt file where did you get the fresh copy from

Just in case

Thanks again for the quick response!

Hi Margaret.

You won’t have done anything here to corrupt the scripts so don’t worry about it. I just used a fresh copy we have here in the office. You can actually grab your own fresh copy whenever you like from our site here:

http://www.interactivetools.com/upgrade/

Keep me up to date with how you are making out Smile.
