How would I go about adding a next article link on an article page? Can't Post

How would I go about adding a next article link on an article page?

All fine from an index page but I want my users to be able to view the next article by clicking a link "next" on the page they are currently on. So at the bottom of every article in a specific category there appears a next button which forwards the user to the previous published article in that category.

Javascript or PHP solutions would be fine.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi Bangers,

Thanks for the post!

I have been taking a look at this and at the moment I'm not sure how or the best way to possibly set this up. What I'm going to do is spend a little more time looking over this all for you, once I have some more details I will post an update. :)

In the meantime if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Hi Bangers,

Thanks for the patience while I took a closer look at this!

I had been experimenting with a few options working solely around Article Manager however I'm not been able to come up with any solutions that will working nicely and that don't put a pretty heavy load on the search.cgi script.

There may be some Javascript or php/MySQL based options out there. We have a pretty bright community here so hopefully someone will be able to point you in the right direction. :)

Thanks for trying Chet,

If anyone else can think of a php or javascript solution it would be great. The advantage with am being that every article has a sequential number so I should think someone could come up with a jazzy piece of script to call the pages from php or javascript (I can't myself but i hope someone can),

cheers
