How long will AM1 be supported? Can't Post
Hello AM staff,

Although I like the new features of AM2, I've decided to stick to AM1 for now (I just can't tell the webfeed generator goodbye Wink). How long will you keep offering support for version 1?

Hi Marco :)

We're actually planning on creating a tutorial to show you how to make an equivelent to the Webfeed generator for Artman 2 with publish rules -- would that entice you to switch? :)

Other than that, we have no plans to stop supporting Artman 1 anytime soon, but there's just so much more available with Artman 2 that there's no reason not to! :)

Hi Donna,

Thanks for the info. If the equivalent of the webfeed generator will have at least the same user-friendliness and features, than this might make me switch.:-)

Hi Donna,
can I just add my thoughts on this in terms of support for AM Version 1.

We have a bunch of customers on Version 1 and will continue to use V1 on all new clients for the forseeable future.

We have a lot of knowledge capital, documentation, tweaks and training done around V1 for programmers, administrators, designers, and all of our customers.

Despite what I'm sure is a super piece of software, right now it would be a fairly extensive exercise to revamp all of our processes to work with AM2.

So can you confirm that you guys wont be doing any kind of forced obsolesence or withdrawal of support for AM1?

And if you do plan to reduce the support level that you will provide a serious amount of notice of it?

Thanks for posting!

There aren't any plans on changing support for Article Manager 1 so we'll be helping out as much as ever.

We'll of course, give you plenty of warning to any changes to that Smile.

Yes, to the best of my knowledge there isn't any intention of not supporting Article Manager 1. :)
