We have bought Article Manager and it seems like it is a very good and user-friendly tool for production of a “normal” website. With the service of interactivetools.com it is easy the get started with the software (free installation, easy software to use, good online help/manual), but to the design implemented has been more troublesome then expected...

My intention is to try by my selves first; and if I have to, ask interactivetools.com to help me implement the design.

My problems/questions:
1. Design implementation means usually to put up a homepage/main page, the “normal content page” and maybe design of special pages. A graphic designer may make the design (layout) and the graphic elements that shall be used (logo, header etc). I would like to see a list of “What the designer should think about/prepare when making a design that should be used together with AM”. Does this list exist?
2. The menu. I wish the main level to have graphics behind the word (titles), and the submenus to show up like this: <http://www.macworld.com/>, <http://www.samediggi.no/>, http://www.irisdesign.no/ or <http://www.elearningeuropa.info/>. The content pf the menus shall always be equal to the categories. Is this easy to implement (and how)?

Thanks for posting and welcome to the board!

When it comes to working with the templates, there are going to be 4 main ones you’re developer will want to pay close attention to:

/article/default.html
/index/default.html
/search/advanced_search.html
/search/search_results.html

There are many other templates as well, but the above four are used to create the majority of the layout on each of your pages. The most important thing to remember when working with templates is that each time you update one, you’ll want to republish your articles from within Setup Options. The templates are done with plain HTML though so editing them will be like editing any other HTML page.

Your developer is also going to want to have a read through our template tutorial as it covers a lot of the basic info for working with templates:

Now, in regards to the menu links you are refering to, I am not quite sure what you are looking for. Did you want me to look at the links there and use them as examples of what you are after? Or is the way you put them there the way they need to show up in your menu (with the angle brackets, etc).
